SHAPE OF DESPAIR Part Ways With Vocalist Pasi Koskinen; Replacement Announced.
Finland’s SHAPE OF DESPAIR check in with the following update:
“Time to share some news: Just before this year, Shape Of Despain and (vocalist) Pasi Koskinen parted ways. We had very few close people in mind who could fit inside the band’s chemistry and share the same passion for our music.
Welcome our newest member, Henri Koivula.
Henri is known from his other band, THROES OF DAWN, who released the magnificent The Great Fleet Of Echoes album last year. As for now, we have already started rehearsing our older songs and most importantly new songs. New songs are in progress and full album is planned to be released next year, 2012.
But before anything, be sure to grab yourself our vinyls, Written In My Scars and soon to be out split with Portugese doom act BEFORE THE RAIN, where we performed ‘Lycia’s Estrella’.

Seth van de Loo (Severe Torture, Centurian, Infected Flesh, Voodoo Gods) – DrumsExtreme Cold Winter is a Doom/Death Metal project created by A.J. van Drenth and Seth van de Loo in 2009. After recording drums and guitars for the first E.P., Pim Blankenstein joined the band to handle the vocals.
This is the first track the band will unleash, while looking for a label to release their debut E.P. calles “The Subzero Versus”.
