Se nos ha ido un genio del bajo, con sólo 54 años y habiendo grabado con Malmsteen, Riot, Ark, Holy Mother o Steve Vai entre otros, su amigo JSS le dedicaba estas palabras: «My heart is saddened by the loss of yet someone else I knew and respected in this crazy business we call the music industry. Bassist/musician extraordinaire Randy Coven has lost his life at the young age of 54. I had only met him a few times and had the privilege to perform once with him alongside Yngwie Malmsteen in 2000 when I was brought up for an encore at the band’s show in LA that year. Randy was also part of an amazing group called CPR with Al Pitrelli and this is where I learned of Randy’s fantastic talent! RIP my friend….»
